The Perfect Gala has a Signature Dance
Told you this event was different — how many fundraisers have their own dance?! We teamed up with the incredible Rise Dance to bring you a choose-your-own-adventure moment:
a) Watch the video, practice, and come ready.
b) Wing it on the night.
c) Cheer and support the dancers.
d) Hang out at the deck games instead.
All options = 100% approved.
Why this dance matters:
1️⃣ Rapper’s Delight is a song Duggan and I loved — we grew up dancing and rapping to it, celebrating the evolution of hip hop.
2️⃣ Dancing alcohol-free can feel intimidating, so this gives everyone a chance to warm up beforehand.
3️⃣ Movement is joy — it doesn’t have to be a treadmill. Sometimes it’s just dancing in your living room.
4️⃣ Community connection — line dancing means laughing, smiling, and grooving together.
